Please help your student go over some of the skills we are working on at some point during the week. Regular attendance in class will keep your student motivated, practicing foundational skills at home, and learn basic socialization.

Board Breaking:

As apart of our martial arts training, we break boards. The symbolisim varies from art to art.

Rebreakable Board Strength:

(#2 Pine/Sterling)

White Board is equivalent to a .3" wood

Yellow Board is equivalent to a .5" wood

Orange Board is equivalent to a .7" wood

Green Board is equivalent to a 1" wood

Blue Board is equivalent to a 1.25" wood

Brown Board is equivalent to a 1.75" wood

Black Board is equivalent to a 2.25" wood

**In the event a student is not ready at the time of testing, we will do our best to test that student during the following cycle when the student demonstrates to the instructor proficiency with their current requirements.
